Jay Harris was born and raised in Alexander City, Alabama. He graduated from Benjamin Russell High School in 1989. Jay went to Auburn University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Textile Management in 1994. Jay married in 1997 and is the father of three children. He worked in textiles until 2005 when he opened HCM Machine and Fabrication. He attended Central Alabama Community College in 2006 and received an Associate Degree in Occupational Technology and Machine Shop Technology. In 2009, Jay opened H&S Industries dba CES Industries. This business is operating today converting paper from 100% recycled chipboard. Early in 2019, Jay and Corey went into business together and changed HCM Machine and Fabrication to HEMCO Inc.
Corey Edmunds was born in Sylacauga, Alabama. He graduated from Coosa Central High School in 1998. Corey began his college career at Central Alabama Community College. He attained an Associate Degree in Engineering, Drafting and Design Technology in 2000 and an Associate Degree in Machine Shop Technology in 2003. Later, he gained an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology from Southern Union State Community College in 2007. Corey graduated from Auburn University in 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Corey married in 2011 and has two children. He joined Jay in business in 2019 when HEMCO was established.
Jerry O'Neil joined HEMCO in April 2020 after the closing of Brown Machine & Fabrication. Jerry has 30 years experience in reverse engineering of OEM converting parts. His last 10 years with Brown were in an outside sales role. During his 30 years, Jerry built plenty of relationships in converting operations throughout the USA and Canada. In addition to parts, Jerry has a vast knowledge of parent roll handling equipment such as core chucks, spreader beams, core chuck carts, and mechanical core chuck handling devices.
